How to Sync Your SelfWealth Trades to ShareCentral Automatically

Let SelfWealth do the data entry for you

Every trade you place through SelfWealth generates a contract note. Normally that note goes to your inbox and stays there. Add one extra email address, and it'll go to ShareCentral too, which means your portfolio updates itself the moment a trade settles.

Step 1: Grab your ShareCentral ingestion email address

  1. Log in to ShareCentral and, for your Portfolio, open Settings > Email ingestion & brokers.
  2. Copy the unique address shown there, it will look something like b8gea9721a2@ingest.sharecentral.com.
  3. In the Connected Brokers section, enable SelfWealth (toggle it to "Trade emails forwarded").

Keep this address private. Anything sent to it lands in your portfolio, so it shouldn't end up on a mailing list or a public form anywhere.

Step 2: Add it as a contract note recipient in SelfWealth

  1. Log in to the SelfWealth website.
  2. Click Trading Account in the left-hand navigation.
  3. Open the Contract Notes tab.
  4. Under Contact Note Email Addresses, click Add New.
  5. Paste your ShareCentral ingestion address into the text box and click Save.

Your new address should now appear in the list underneath your primary email.

Wondering whether this affects your existing email notifications? It doesn't, SelfWealth keeps sending contract notes to your normal inbox exactly as before. ShareCentral's address is just an additional copy, not a replacement.

Step 3: Confirm the sync

Place a trade, or wait for your next one, then check ShareCentral's Activity tab a few minutes after the contract note would normally arrive in your inbox. The trade should appear there automatically.

Troubleshooting

  • If nothing shows up after your first trade, go back to Trading Account > Contract Notes and confirm the address is still listed, some browsers auto-fill or truncate long email addresses on paste.
  • Only removed a secondary address by mistake? Click Add New again and re-enter your ShareCentral ingestion address, you can always find the correct copy in ShareCentral's ingestion settings.
  • Still nothing after 24 hours? Reach out to ShareCentral support with the trade date so we can check the ingestion logs.

One more thing worth asking yourself: do you have more than one SelfWealth trading account under the same login? If so, check whether contract note settings are shared across accounts or set per account, if they're separate, you'll want your ShareCentral address added to each one individually.

Connect a broker and ShareCentral builds this for you automatically.
